A social media person took to X, previously generally recognized as Twitter, to tell a few “new scam” he had fallen victim to after happening a date with a girl he had met on a dating app. He alleged he was scammed out of greater than ₹15,000. In a sequence of posts, he even defined how he had paid an inflated invoice at a Delhi restaurant following the date.
After paying the invoice, the person said he went to the washroom. By the time he returned, the invoice saved on the table had disappeared, and his date insisted on leaving rapidly. It was only when he reached home that he realised he had been scammed. He checked Bumble and realised the lady had “disappeared” – she additionally started to disregard his telephone.

The scam isn’t a brand new one. In a thread on X, the Delhi man shared reviews of the bar that he had gone to. One of those reviews stated, “Please ignore going to this place and your mates also for the same. They are doing scams right here…”
Another consumer had also posted on July 30 this year, informing concerning the “scamming Nexus going on round Rajouri garden”. He mentioned, “On a relationship app she requested me to satisfy me and so I went right here she order some objects and heavy quantity of invoice which was around 11k for the gadgets which should be around 2.5k to 3k most and I realised this rip-off a bit late once I confronted the workers they had been reluctant to help me.”

“This is going on very regularly. Have made so many posts about it,” another person posted.
